Henry, Emily Dickenson, Robert Graves, R.L. Stevenson, to name just a few.  It’s great fun, won’t demand much prep time, and should leave you with plenty of time to do that last-minute Christmas shopping to boot. As part of our Outreach Program, we will remember the Veterans this November by offering poppies at both services on November 6th.  The poppies are lapel worn then for the week and especially on November 11th, Armistice Day, the day when WW1 officially ended, and on the following Sunday called “Remembrance Sunday.  Poppies became the symbol of this annual remembrance of those who died in foreign wars in honor of Canadian Captain John McCrae’s famous poem “In Flanders Fields.”
